Longmai church celebrates golden jubilee

The Golden Jubilee Celebration of Longmai Part-3 Baptist Church held at Longmai Common Ground, Noney town under the theme 'Great is thy Faithfulness' concluded on Friday.
The valedictory programme was attended by Rongmei Baptist Churches' Council (RBCC) general secretary reverend Mansi Gangmei, president reverend Dr Jonathan Gangmei and Tamenglong Baptist Church associate pastor reverend KG Gaila as guest speakers.
RBCC Pastors' Council chairman reverend L Timothy Phaomei, Inpui Naga Baptist Churches' Association executive secretary reverend AL Khumba, RBCC-Longmai zonal director Rokungliu Panmei and Medanta Medicity, Gurugram consultant Dr Meijinlung Dhangmei also attended the event as resource persons.
During the celebration, a Jubilee Memorial Monolith was unveiled by reverend Mansi Gangmei and a Jubilee Souvenir was released by RBCC former executive secretary reverend Lanchungrei Pamei.
The resource persons delivered lectures on several topics such as 'Great is Thy Faithfulness', 'Counting God's Blessing', 'Maturing in the Fullness of Christ', 'Spirituality and Emotional Well-being in Children', 'Celebrating God s Faithfulness' and 'Christianity and Modern Medicines'.
As a part of the event, special gifts were presented to women of Longmai Part-3 who are married to men in other places and communities as well as to former church leaders and dignitaries.
It may be mentioned that the Church was established in the year 1973 with D Makukhui as the first pastor.
The Jubilee Celebration witnessed participation of over 3000 people from different locations of India and abroad.
