Sangeet Kala Mandir, Nambol reformed

The newly elected president of Sangeet Kala Mandir, Nambol, Soibam Bimota Devi has clarified that as Sangeet Kala Mandir, Nambol had remained non-functional for long, Registrar of Co-Operative Society, Bishnupur issued a reform notice on September 25, 2023 and in accordance with which general body meeting was held on October 15, 2023, and election of new secretary, president and other office bearers on October 24, 2023 .
Addressing a press meet at Nambol Youth Club and Library office on Saturday, S Bimota stated that a new 15-member executive committee of Sangeet Kala Mandir was formed on January 12, 2010 by 41 members of the Mandir out of which 14 members are no more.
From 2010 to 2023, Huidrom Arunjit Singh was the secretary during which existence of the Mandir was reduced to paper only.
As such local organisations, and meira paibi activists filed a complaint at office of Registrar of Cooperative Society, Bishnupur for reforming the committee to which the Registrar issued the order for reformation of Sangeet Kala Mandir, Nambol on October 24, 2023, she elaborated.
Expressing remorse that H Arunjit tried to undermine the reformation process carried out as per the directive of the Registrar of Cooperative Society, Bishnupur and mislead the public, S Bimota asked Arunjit to clarify on the matter within five days, to avoid facing legal action.
