Imphal, July 28 2023:
National Students' Union of India (NSUI) president Neeraj Kundan has alleged that both the state and central governments made no serious efforts to end the nearly three months' old violence in Manipur.
Before leaving for New Delhi after two-day visit to the state, Neeraj told media persons at Hotel Yaiphaba on Friday that both the state and central governments are unable to bring out a solution to the ongoing violence and they are rather sleeping.
It is disheartening to witness conditions of people particularly students staying in different relief camps and displaced students have nothing including textbooks and money for admission at new school/college.
Apart from this, ban on internet has created immense hardship to students in their preparation for competitive exams, he said and shared solidarity with suffering students.
Nevertheless, the NSUI leader said he will extend whatever help from his capacity for the welfare of suffering displaced students.
The press conference was also attended by NSUI Manipur unit president Kabir Ahmed and PCC secretary Bankimchandra.
