Imphal, July 28 2023:
The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has appealed to one and all to join the "Mass Rally Against Chin-Kuki Narco-Terrorism" scheduled tomorrow at Imphal.
Speaking to media persons this afternoon, COCOMI convenor Jeetendra Ningomba said that all preparations have been completed for the mega rally.
He appealed to all the people who are determined to save Manipur to come and join the rally.
Tomorrow's mega rally will show to the whole world that the turmoil besieging Manipur for the last three months is a creation of narco-terrorists, Jeetendra Ningomba said.
People of all walks may cease their daily activities for a few hours tomorrow and join the rally, he said.
The mass rally will be flagged off from THAU Ground, Thangmeiband at 10 am.
From THAU Ground, the rally would pass through Khoyathong, Nambul River bank and Keishamthong.
From Keishamthong, the rally would head east and culminate at Hapta Kangjeibung, Palace Compound.
The participants of the rally would hold a public convention at Hapta Kangjeibung where some key decisions would be adopted, said the COCOMI coordinator.
The resolutions adopted tomorrow would be sent to the Prime Minister, the Union Home Minister and relevant international bodies, he said.
He then appealed to all local clubs, Meira Paibi organisations and other local bodies of different districts to come and join the rally, irrespective of whether they get written invitation from the COCOMI or not.
He also appealed to all transport organisations to help transport people from far off places to the rally.
He further appealed to the media fraternity to give due coverage of the mega rally and convey its message to the whole world.
