Imphal, July 28 2023:
In the face of statements made by Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga with regards to the Manipur conflict, the Apunba Keithel Sinnaibi Lup, Kangleipak (AKSIL) has decried the inability of the fifty Manipur MLAs to present a united front and face the current crisis head on.
During a press conference held today at Manipur Press Club, Khamnam Sobhabati, president, AKSIL accused the fifty MLAs of falling prey to groupism and frequently camping at Delhi during this time of crisis.
She urged them to instead unite and raise their voices collectively in Delhi.

Further, accusing Chief Minister Zoramthanga of meddling in the internal matters of the State, she said that his actions are disrespectful to the people of Manipur.
The AKSIL president also expressed discontent over the Government's failure to deploy adequate numbers of well-armed State forces in trouble-torn regions like Moreh, Churachandpur and Kangpokpi.
Questioning why the Central Government has not yet seized the weapons of the Kuki militants, she expressed strong opposition to any design to extend the SoO agreement.
She also demanded withdrawal of Assam Rifles from Manipur and proper implementation of land laws in the hill areas.
