Imphal, July 28 2023:
Appreciating Chief Minister N Biren Singh's statement maintaining that separate administration is impossible, the Yuva Janata Dal (United) has said that the people need proof and action, not speeches.
A statement issued by Bhaktaraj Thiyam, president, Yuva Janata Dal (United) has said that the people yearn for clarity on the matter concerning the integrity of the State.
"The State deserves to know the steps that the Government is going to take up with details", it added.
The Yuva JD (U) statement continued to say that the students need an environment free from fear for studies while adding that the hospitals are over burdened with large numbers of injured persons, all because of the "inefficiency of this Government of Manipur" .
Yuva JD(U) stressed that people are not fools and that they will not forget everything that happened in the last three months and simply go along with a speech without any proof.
The statement further opined that the Chief Minister's speech and the negligence displayed by him show a high degree of contradiction on logic and seem aimed at taking political advantage of the situation.
Thus Yuva Janata Dal (United) condemned such contradictions of words and actions from the leader of the State.
Lastly, the statement shared that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and National General Secretary of JD(U) Afaque have strongly condemned the narco-terrorism crisis of Manipur and the negligence of the Centre and State during a closed door meeting with the JD(U) Manipur State Unit.
It added that a team will be sent soon to help restore normalcy in the State.
