Neighbourhood youth parliament held at relief camp

Bishnupur, March 17 2024:
Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), Bishnupur along with Bishnupur Apunba Tengbang and Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) on Sunday organised a neighbourhood youth parliament themed 'Mental Health and First-aid Training' at the Old Mini Secretariat Complex, Loukoipat relief camp.
The event was attended by NYKS, Bishnupur deputy director Salam Dhanachandra, IRCS Bishnupur chairman W Gulapi, retired Bishnupur CMO Gyaneshwar, National Level Master Trainer for First Aid Bankimchandra Thokchom, IRCS Bishnupur secretary H Romen and joint secretary E Premjit.
In his address, Dhanachandra said the Youth Parliament aims to inform and engage the youth on issues concerning the state and exhorted over 300 youth IDPs staying in the relief camp to form a youth club, while assuring to extend all possible support.
Demonstration on 'Basic Understanding on Mental Health' and 'Hands on Training and Demonstration of First Aid' were also conducted during the programme.
