World Sleep Day observed

As observed across the globe, Share And Care, Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal, today celebrated World Sleep Day at Yenning Day Care Centre in Kongpal Kongkham Leikai on the theme, "Sleep well for good health".
It was attended by Imphal East District Chief Medical Officer, Dr L Indira Devi; Share And Care founder.
Dr RK Lenin Singh and Dr N Kunjabihari as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion.
Dr L Indira said that World Sleep Day has been observed annually across the globe since 2008 with the aim to raise awareness about the importance of sleep and the prevention and management of sleep disorders.
"The amount of sleep a person needs changes as you age, and sleep needs vary from person to person", said Dr L Indira while adding that most adults need to sleep seven or more hours each night and not getting enough sleep can lead to physical & mental health problems.
Dr RK Lenin announced that Yenning Day Care Centre will officially open from April 1, 2204 and provide various services including treatment/ care for sleep disorder, mental health issues and dementia.
