State lass draws attention of conclave delegates

Deepika Mayanglambam, who is the founder of Freedom From Mental Illness (FFMI), on Sunday urged delegates of the International Youth Development Conclave to observe two minutes' silence to pay respect to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for peace in Manipur.
The conclave organised by Divya Yuva Manch in Ellanabad, Haryana from March 15 to 17 for discussion on development of the youth had the participation of delegates from 10 countries and different states of India.
According to a release, Deepika Mayanglambam's speech emphasised on ensuring sustainability and mental health for the people of Manipur, and highlighted the urgent need for support to victims of the conflict.
"Her address concluded by emphasising the importance of raising our voices in the process of restoring peace in Manipur.
She urged everyone to remember the sacrifices made by the martyrs and to work collectively towards a peaceful and prosperous future," added the release.
