State issues dissected at CPI Kakching conference

Kakching, March 17 2024:
The 53rd conference of Communist Party of India (CPI), Kakching Local was held at Kakching Wairi Salam Leikai community hall on Sunday with the participation of Yengkhom Dhananjay, M Iboyaima, Thokchom Tomba, Yambem Satya Singh, Yambem Chaoba, CPI National Control Commission member Dr Moirangthem Nara, CPI Manipur State Council secretary Leishangthem Thoiren, former state secretary Laishram Sotinkumar, Thoubal District secretary Leishangthem Kshetra and Nupi Marup, Thoubal district president Y Ibetombi Devi among others.
During the conference, political and organisation's draft reports and resolutions were passed along with electing 46 council and 21 executive members.
The gathering also resolved to press the government for setting up of necessary infrastructure and departments to upgrade Kakching to a full-fledged district and bring political solution to the ongoing conflict so that peace and normalcy can be restored in the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr M Nara urged for spreading awareness on CPI and its ideology and goals amongst the public.
He also emphasised that bringing positive changes in the society merits an in-depth study on socialist governed nations of Cuba, China, Russia, Vietnam, etc.
Mentioning that presently huge amount of money is needed for education of children, he cited that in socialist countries education is free such as in Cuba along with free healthcare service.
