Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign conducted

Swachhata Hi Seva 2023 campaign continued in Kangpokpi district where various activities, including cleanliness drive, were conducted by various departments on Saturday.
The drives were conducted to put emphasis on the fact that maintaining cleanliness is the duty of every citizen and to encourage all to participate in building a clean and healthy India.
Since early morning, cleanliness drive was conducted as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva 2023 campaign under the theme 'Garbage Free India' by staffers of District Hospital, Kangpokpi led by its chief medical officer.
A similar drive was also conducted by Kangpokpi Forest Division led by divisional forest officer at the make shift office in Forest Office Complex, Mantripukhri.
Likewise, officials of the District Horticulture Office led by deputy director conducted cleanliness drive at their office premises in Kangpokpi district.
On Sunday, National Cleanliness Day will be observed at the Deputy Commissioner's Office Complex at 8 am which will be participated by all the officers and staff.
Similarly, the observance will be conducted by the district level officers at their respective offices, schools and institutions.
Meanwhile, PHED, Bishnupur Division and Humanism Foundation on Friday carried out cleanliness drive at relief camps set up at Wangoo, Kumbi and Kumbi Keithel as part of Swachhata Hi Seva campaign.
During the programme, Humanism Foundation subject specialist Huidrom Sundar conducted awareness cum hand washing demonstration at the relief camp opened at Kumbi Central High School, while its technical expert Sapam Borish imparted training on water quality testing using field test kit to inmates of various relief camps.
Prizes were also distributed to children who learned to properly hand wash as encouragement after the demonstration.
