Gandhi Jayanti observed, Special Campaign 3.0 launched

Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal observed Gandhi Jayanti/National Cleanliness Day on Monday.
In a release, RIMS informed that RIMS director professor G Sunil Kumar Sharma in the presence of RIMS Hospital medical superintendent professor N Sanjib Singh launched Special Campaim 3.0 for improving Swachhta and disposal of pending references to mark the observance.
The Special Campaign 3.0 will continue till October 31.The release also mentioned that a cleanliness drive was conducted at Ladies Hostel No III & IV and some parts of hospital wards by staff of Centre for Research on Environment Development (CRED) , Manipur Security Services (MSS), faculty members, officials, nursing officials, students and RIMS staff.
Meanwhile, Swachh Bharat Diwas/National Cleanliness Day was observed in Thoubal district on Monday marking the birth anniversary celebration of Mahatma Gandhi.
Led by deputy commissioner Ahanthem Subhash Singh, officials and staff of the district administration and line departments participated in a cleanliness drive conducted in the office premises and surrounding areas of the DC's Office.
Officers and staff of Thoubal District Social Welfare Office, MSPDCL and NYK also conducted cleanliness drive at Mini Secretariat North Block with similar drives also carried out at Thoubal PHE Division and office of district supply officer.
It may be mentioned here that the fortnight-long programme of 'Swachhta Hi Seva' 2023 culminated in the district on Monday.
The campaign was observed under the theme 'Garbage Free India'.
As part of the campaign, children and adults participated in various cleanliness activities.
Similarly, officers and staff of various line departments in the district wholeheartedly participated in the fortnight long programme which was also observed in all the Wards and Gram Panchayats in the district.
On the other hand, Special Campaign 3.0 for Institutionalising Swachhata and Minimising Pendency in Government Office with effect from October 2 to 31 was inaugurated at ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region Manipur Centre, Lamphelpat on Monday.
Around 40 staff of ICAR Manipur Centre and ICAR-KVKs participated in the campaign and cleaned the Main omce premises, surrounding area of Main office, Guest House, Quarters, etc.
