IIIT Manipur, Think India observe National Youth Day

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Manipur in collaboration with Think India, organised an Interaction cum discussion programme on the "Role of Engineering Students for a Vikshit Bharat 2047" at the HIT auditorium on Friday as part of the National Youth Day observance.
IIIT interim registrar Dr Leihaorambam Sarbajit delivered the welcome address as Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering faculty Dr Rajshree Rajkumari provided insights into Think India, highlighting its significance and the opportunities for internships.
As the keynote speaker NIT Manipur associate professor Dr Th David, who is also ABVP NEC special invitee highlighted the importance of youth engagement in problem-solving and;adoption of emerging technologies across various domains.
He also shed light on the National Education Policy (NEP) and encouraged the youth to leverage technology for writing literature in local languages.
As part of the event, an innovative idea competition was held, where seven students from the first year of IIIT Manipur presented their ideas on topics such as green energy, biogas, radio taxi, urban mobility system, innovative education system, and electric vehicles (EV) with C-code.
S Naveen, 1st year student, claimed the first prize with his innovative concept on electric vehicles and C code.
Naveen's idea focused on developing a controlapp (c-app) that interacts with a c-device connected to a C-code, providing information on battery health and identifying malware defects in electric vehicles.
Pawan Kumar Dangi, 1st year CSE AID student, secured the second prize for his idea on task-based degree completion with the innovative education system while Rounak Prajapati, a second-semester ECE student, won the 3rd prize for his insights on the Urban Mobility system, proposing a platform or system that utilises AI and machine learning for mile-to-mile connectivity, traffic congestion control, and promotion of electronic vehicles for a comprehensive approach to transportation in India.
The entire programme received unwavering support and enthusiastic encouragement from Prof Krishnan Baskar, director, IIIT Manipur.
