National Cleanliness Day observed across state

Observing Swachh Bharat Diwas or Swachhta Diwas (National Cleanliness Day) in connection with Gandhi Jayanti, district administrations organised cleanliness at respective districts on Monday.
A three non-residential social service organised by Naharol Lamjing Meira, Kongba Kshetri Leikai from September 30 which is also 127th birth anniversary of Jananeta Hijam Irawat concluded on Monday on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
Meanwhile, a month long cleanliness campaign organised by The New Age Club, Singjamei Thongam Leikai in connection with Irabot day observance at its jurisdiction, concluded on Monday on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
In a release, New Age Club informed that as part of the programme, a team of the Club led by member G Maison Sharma carried out peace protest at India Gate, New Delhi against the killing of students Linthoingambi and Hemanjit by Kuki militants.
KANGPOKPI: The district administration joined the nation in observing the National Cleanliness Day by conducting cleanliness drive which was participated by all officers/ofiicials/staffers at the DC Office Complex.
Similar programmes were carried out by district level officers at respective offices, institutions, hospitals and schools in all Sub-Divisions.
SENAPATI: Joining with the rest of country, deputy commissioner Mamoni Doley led the National Cleanliness Day in the district in market and Senapati River area on Monday.
The drive was carried out from Viewland till Old Monday Market Bridge by DLOs and staffers, CEO/ADC Senapati, Senapati Karong Town Area Committee and youth volunteers.
Similar cleanliness drives were also carried out in every Sub-Divisional blocks, health centres, educational institutions and villages.
CHANDEL: Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of I&B, Field Office, Chandel Imphal Region organised 'Swachhta Hi Seva' 9 years of seva, sushasan, Garib Kalyan, G-20 and Vigilance Awareness Week at Chandropoto village in Chandel district on Monday.
As part of the campaign, quiz competition was held and prizes distributed to the winners.
Publicity materials were also distributed to the gathering.
A public rally was held followed by cleanliness activities within the village and its surrounding was also taken up.
JIRIBAM: Jiribam Municipal Council (JMC) observed Swachhta Divas (National Cleanliness Day) 2023 cum felicitation of sanitary workers and award distribution at JMC utility complex auditorium hall.
The programme was attended by Manipur Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board chairperson K Sarat Kumar as chief guest, JMC caretaker chairperson S Santi Devi as functional president, Jiribam deputy commissioner Krishna Kumar as special guest while Jiribam SP A Ghanashyam Sharma, JMC EO M Surjit and JMC brand ambassador ISL 2.0 H Broken Singh were guests of honour.
