No poll ties with BJP: RPI-A president

Maintaining that RPI-A has not met with the BJP in connection with the upcoming Lok Sabha polls and that it has no relation with BJP, RPI-A president Ramdas B Athawale has appealed to the people of Manipur to support its candidate Maheshwar Thounaojam.
Extending his support and encouraging the works of Maheshwar in Connection with the humanitarian crisis in Manipur, Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas B Athawale, in a video made available to the media, said that Maheshwar has been relentlessly working for the welfare of the indigenous people of Manipur and the party fully supports him in all his endeavours.
The people of the state should also not forget what he has done for the state and for the indigenous people, Ramdas stressed.
Young leaders like Maheshwar from Manipur emerging out is appreciable.
It is hoped that Maheshwar would contribute his mite in restoring peace in Manipur and bring justice for the people, he said.
RPI-A, though, an ally of the NDA government, does not go along with any government in any of the states except Maharashtra.
RPI-A has been locking horns with BJP which is a big alliance of NDA, in Manipur and other states.
The party also has no relation with BJP in the upcoming polls and has also not come into any terms as of now.
Therefore, the people of Manipur are urged to support the party's candidate Maheshwar Thounaojam.
The party will continue supporting Maheshwar in his works for the indigenous people of Manipur and for the state, he affirmed.
