BJP saved Manipur, will prevent disintegration: Biren

BJP saved Manipur and the party will ensure that all attempts by adversary forces to balkanise the state are thwarted, declared chief minister N Biren Singh while appealing to the people to have trust in the BJP in upholding the interest of Manipur and its people.
Addressing party workers during Mahila Sammelan organised by BJP Manipur Pradesh at its Thambal Shanglen on Wednesday, chief minister Biren said he could tolerate profanity or cursing remarks made by illegal immigrants and malicious campaign against the government's efforts to end drug business.
However, it is very painful to hear remarks made by some pseudo-politicians without understanding government's efforts, Biren said adding that BJP government saved Manipur and people should believe that the party has form resolve to uphold state's territorial and emotional integrity.
According to CM Biren, there are many people scheming to disintegrate Manipur but people of the state should understand that steps to safeguard indigenous people, border fencing and protection of Manipur's territorial integrity must be done during the tenure of PM Modi, Amit Shah and JP Nadda.
People of the state might be in pain right now and BJP too is facing wrath of the people but in future people of the state will definitely acknowledge BJP's sincere endeavour and might liken the party to the Almighty, Biren said.
He also conveyed that the mass rally for NRC implementation in the state held sometimes back was participated by lakhs of people but the upcoming election will decide whether people really wanted NRC or raised the demand out of anger.
The upcoming election will also determine resolve of the people in safeguarding Manipur, Biren said adding that whatever steps he took to save Manipur sincerely were in accordance and confidence of Prime Minister Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah.
Expressing happiness on Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioning Manipur in his Independence Day-2023 speech, Biren said it was the Prime Minister and the Union home minister who took the decision to fence the entire Indo-Myanmar border and the end of Free Movement Regime (FMR) between the two countries.
Biren also informed the gathering that the BJP government has started replacement of the paramilitary force, which sat idly despite entrusted to guard the border and tackle insurgency, with another central force in the border areas.
While informing the gathering that the resolution adopted by the state assembly on NRC implementation was historic, the chief minister said such a collective decision was never taken in the past and the real intention of the people who stormed CM Bungalow and state BJP president's houses on the issue will be known in the upcoming election.
He also stressed the need for those doing politics to be sincere and patriotic while maintaining that joining politics by insincere people and their nefarious activities would ruin and destroy the state.
In her speech at Sammelan, BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda said the disease which caused the suffering of the people and the resultant lingering crisis in the state was unable to diagnose for a long time but one doctor has diagnosed the disease by the grace of god and started giving treatment now.
She said that chief minister N Biren Singh took a visionary step so that future generation could live peacefully.
The Mahila Sammelan was also attended by BJP state vice president N Nimbus, national general secretary A Giri, state general secretaries Deben and K Sarat, BJP Manipur Pradesh Mahila Mandal president L Loteeka and other party leaders.
