PAPPM calls for backing parties committed to NRC

Exhorting the people to support political parties that can implement NRC in the state, People's Alliance for Peace and Progress Manipur (PAPPM) has informed that a campaign will be launched to ensure that the people support political parties committed to implementing NRC and abrogating the SoO agreement signed with Kuki armed outfits.
Speaking to media persons at its Singjamei Chingamathak office on Wednesday, PAPPM president Bobby declared that it will support the political party that can implement NRC in the state.
It is essential to detect and deport outsiders and not give voting rights to them so as to end the conflict, he opined.
Pointing out that there are some people who are still naive about root cause of the conflict, he said that some vested interest groups trying to draw political mileage by confusing vulnerable section of the society.
As such, the Alliance will support political party or parties which have been pitching for updating NRC in the state, he reiterated, while observing that the current conflict has been caused by illegal immigrants who have been coming into the state for years and the money generated from poppy cultivation utilised to achieve their dream of Kukiland.
