Essential items, monetary aid extended

Utilising the money donated to AMUCO by CRPF Sports Meitei Group for helping riot-affected displaced people, Committee on Present Issue of Manipur (COPIM), which functions under AMUCO, distributed essential items to relief camps set up at Bright Career Academy, Lamlai Bazar and Phayeng Awang Leikai Youth Club.
Apunba Jaribon Tengbang Lup Hailakandi Assam also extended monetary aid to injured people undergoing treatment at RIMS ortho ward and also distributed essential items including edibles and clothes to relief camps at Sugnu, Tangjeng khunou, Tangjeng Khu-njao, Chairel, Phayeng, Khurkhul, Kumbi, Terakha, Haotak, Terakhongsangbi, Yairipok Yambem, Mayang Imphal, Kakching Victory School and Pukhao Terapur, while Monitoring Committee Lakhipur formed by Meitei and Meitei Pangal in Cachar district of Assam provided essential items to relief camps set up in different areas.
Meanwhile, 'Young Sixties', a voluntary organisation of retired employees of horticulture department, donated Rs 20,000 cash to Phayeng Relief Committee for people of the area, who have been affected by the ongoing crisis.
During visit of the employees, including former minister Ningthoujam Biren, cash assistance was extended to
the relief committee.
