Aid pours in to relief centres from all quarters

Many continue to make best possible efforts to alleviate the problems of crisis stricken people who are taking refuge in various relief centres across the State by extending aid and assistance to these centres.
Manipuri diaspora and organizations outside the State join in extending humanitarian aid to the people affected by the communal conflict.
Apunba Jaribon Tengbang Lup, Hailakandi in Assam provided monetary assistance to victims who are undergoing treatment in RIMS Ortho ward.
The Lup also extended relief materials to various shelter camps across the State.
A team of the Monitoring Committee Lakhipur formed by Meitei and Meitei Pangal communities of Lakhipur in Cachar district, Assam has arrived in Imphal and has been extending assistance to relief camps in the State since June 11 last.
Kakching
Kakching High School 1984 Matric Batch alumni provided monetary assistance to seven relief camps opened in Kakching district today.
Meanwhile, Meitei Pangal community of Keibung in Thoubal district provided edible items and clothes to the inmates of Sanatombi High School relief camp in Kakching district managed by Keirak United Development Association (KUDA) .

Monetary aid of Rs 18, 750 was provided to Heirok Higher Secondary School Relief Centre by Heirok Part I Heituppokpi Ward Number 4 Phura Makhong to 8 Protection Committee from the contribution made by the households within this jurisdiction.
Continuing its philanthropic activities, Rotary Club of Imphal donated four Television sets for the displaced people who are taking shelter in various relief centres opened in Thoubal district.
The TV sets were handed over to Deputy Commissioner Thoubal by a team of the club led by its president Pramod Jaiswal.
The Thadou Student's Association Sadar Hills also extended relief materials for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) sheltered at Baptist High School, Motbung in Kangpokpi district yesterday.
Baptist English High School, Motbung is one of the relief camps set up in Saitu Assembly Constituency where there are more than two thousand IDPs sheltered since May 3 .
