BJP assures to push for arresting killers

Imphal, September 27 2023: BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sarda has assured of urging authority concerned to arrest and strictly punish the culprits involved in the brutal killings of students Hijam Linthoingambi and Phijam Hemanjit.

Addressing a press meet at BJP's Thambal Shanglen in Nityaipat Chuthek, here, on Wednesday, Sarda gave assurances of urging the authority concerned to arrest and punish the culprits involved in the murder of students Linthoingambi and Hemanjit.

She then appealed to security forces not to use excessive force against the students protesting the death of the two young students.

Stating that the party strongly condemns the killings of the two students who were reported missing since July 6, Sarda said that the party also shares the anguish and grief felt by the students and the masses over the cold-blooded murder of the students by Kuki militants.

The party also supports the sentiments of the people with regard to protecting the integrity of the state, she stated, while sharing the grief of the bereaved families.

The BJP president further stated that the party has been trying its best to convey the opinions and messages of the people to the government of India so as to bring about a solution.
