SOREPA imposes total shutdown on Jan 26

Boycotting celebration of India's Republic Day in Manipur, the armed Socialist Revolutionary Party (SOREPA), Kangleipak has announced imposition of total shutdown on January 26 from 4am to 5 pm.
The total shutdown, however, will be exempted for movement relating to medical emergency and religious activities and media.
The outfit also announced endorsement of general strike, total shutdown or boycott call on January 26 by revolutionary groups of Kangleipak/ Manipur and WESEA region as well as by revolutionary groups of Kashmir.
According to a SOREPA statement issued by its publicity & organisation secretary MC Yaiphabi, Kanglei people (people of Kangleipak/Manipur) have no meaning to join the joyful Republic Day celebration of India, which remained mute and silent spectator when two communities erupted into clashes apart from supporting Narco-Terrorist and drug cartels.
The outfit also appealed to Kanglei people to support the boycott, total shutdown, general strike called by other revolutionary groups on January 26.Calling upon Kanglei people to discuss and deliberate India's divide and rule policy, SOREPA alleged India of creating enmity among different communities in WESEA region to sabotage a united WESEA land as well as to continue their suppressive rule in the region.
SOREPA also extended revolutionary salute to all those have got martyred in the fight for unity of the region and prayed for speedy recovery of those injured during the course of movement for a united WESEA land.
