The indigenous people of Manipur are crying helpless as Kuki militants launched "mass genocide".
However, the BJP-led Union Government has remained silent over the killings of innocent people, arson of dwelling houses and mass destruction of properties, said L Sotinkumar.
He said the Prime Minister had time to tour foreign countries with the intent to exhibit "Shining India" but he has no time to spare and see "bleeding Manipur".
The PM also has no time to discuss the issue in the Parliament.
The State Government, on the other hand, being privileged to be a part of the double-engine governance, is too submissive to the Union Government and as such is incapable of acting against the so-called goodwill of Central leadership, Sotinkumar said.
AITUC Manipur State Committee wants the Government of India to abrogate SoO agreement and deport foreign Kuki militants to save the lives of the indigenous people of Manipur from mass genocide, he said.
The AITUC wants an end to the N Biren Singh led Government.
The Government of India must resolve the present crisis through a political solution immediately, he added.
The AITUC leader also urged the Government to establish a "Highway Protection Force" to protect the highways and safeguard the lives of transporters/drivers and commuters.
