CM to meet delegation of 10 political parties today

Chief Minister N Biren would be meeting a delegation of 10 opposition parties on Sunday to discuss the present situation in the state.
The CM conveyed this to the 10 political parties in response to an appeal submitted by the opposition parties on Friday.
Informing this, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president MLA K Meghachandra said that the chief minister has given his reply to the letter submitted by the 10 political parties on Friday.
He has agreed to meet the delegation on Sunday, at 6 pm.
In the letter, the 10 political parties in the opposition - Aam Aadmi Party, Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (Marxist), Forward Bloc, Indian National Congress, Janata Dal (United), Nationalist Congress Party, Revolutionary Socialist Party, Shiv Sena (UBT), and All India Trinamool Congress - said that they are seeking an appointment with the chief minister to discuss the situation in the state.
The decision to meet the CM was taken in a meeting of the opposition parties held on Friday.
Consequently, secretary to CM Ningthoujam Geoffrey sent a reply to MPCC president K Meghachandra informing about the appointment scheduled for Sunday, 6 pm.
He recalled how a delegation of the 10 political parties stationed in the national capital but was denied appointment with the Prime Minister.
They also submitted multiple memorandum to the Governor for seeking an appointment with the Prime Minister but there has been no response till date.
They also submitted a fresh appeal to the chief minister on Friday with the same request and the CM is yet to respond, he said.
He also questioned the silence of the chief minister, his cabinet ministers and other MLAs of the ruling party and those supporting the government over the worsening situation m the state where, apart from security person -nel, unarmed civilians are being targeted.
