ASUK salutes 'fallen' KYKL cadres

The armed Alliance for Socialist Unity, Kangleipak (ASUK) has condoled the demise of two KYKL cadres in a fierce battle with adversary forces on November 22 and extended revolutionary honour to the fallen cadres.
According to a statement of ASUK (unified revolutionary body of KCP and KYKL), captain Moirangthem Uttam alias Tamba (42), son of late Moirangthem Krishnamani of Pallel Mamang Leikai, and corporal Ningthoujam Kokoba alias Mangaal (28), son of Ningthoujam Kumar and Gandhamani of Sarik Mamang Leikai, both in Kakching district were hit by bullets in a gun-battle on November 22 and died.
Both Tamba and Mangaal were active cadres of Meeyamgee Yawol Lanmee (MYL), the armed wing of KYKL, the ASUK state -ment issued by its publicity committee convener S Mangal said.
Captain Tamba joined KYKL in February, 1989 and completed Military Basic Training at Khoupum, the ASUK statement said, adding that he was a well-disciplined, calm and dedicated revolutionary.
He was also a sports lover and outstanding in sports meet for revolutionaries.
He served as commander of unified force of revolutionary groups of Kangleipak and WESEA on several occasions and emerged victorious in many battles fought with the enemy, the ASUK statement said, adding that captain Tamba died when a unified force on duty was ambushed by Kuki narco-terrorists.
The ASUK statement further said that corporal Mangal joined KYKL in July, 2017 and completed Military Basic Training at Taka in Myanmar.
Like captain Tamba, corporal Mangai was also a young and true revolutionary who had bright future.
Describing both captain Tamba and corporal Mangal as true revolutionaries who always stood for the causes of people with dedication, the ASUK statement said that their demise is not only a great loss for KYKL but also for revolutionary groups of Kangleipak and WESEA region.
The outfit also extended revolutionary honour to both the fallen revolutionaries and shared pains and grief of the bereaved families.
