The harrowing incident occurred on Thursday night was captured on a mobile phone from a nearby balcony, with the video subsequently widely shared on social media.
An FIR was registered on Friday evening against several unidentified assailants, as confirmed by a police officer from Sunlight Colony.
The complainant, speaking to reporters outside the Sunlight Colony police station after filing the FIR, mentioned that the faces of two of the attackers were clearly visible in the CCTV footage.
The mobile recording depicted the horrifying scene of a man, his wife, his sister, and a family friend being subjected to punches, kicks, and dragging on the narrow street by the assailant group, according to a NDTV report.

While booking the cab, the man who sought assistance began making lewd comments about my wife and sister.
When we objected to their behaviour, they turned aggressive, summoned eight-nine of their friends, and launched the assault" .
The man asserted that the details provided in the FIR aligned with the mobile video and CCTV footage.
His wife, revealing bruises on her knees, accused the group of pulling her hair, kicking her to the ground, and attempting to drag her.
Overwhelmed with emotion, she stated, "I thought I was going to die; everyone was going to die, as they did not stop beating us, and no one intervened to stop them" .
Narrating the shocking turn of events, she added, "We were walking when they asked for help to book a cab, and this is what they have done to us," breaking down in front of the police Station.
