Mitchel, Robingam star as Chandel Police FC romp 5-1 past Kotal Khunthak YC for third win on trot
Robingam hit a brace before Mitchel netted a hat-trick as Chandel Police FC cruised 5-1 past Kotal Khunthak YC for the third straight victory in the Pool A campaign of the ongoing DC Chandel Trophy Second Division Football Tournament.
Robingam broke the deadlock after 9 minutes at Liwa Sarei Ground this morning and completed his brace five minutes later before Shelston pulled back a goal for Kotal Khunthak YC in the 37th minute.
Mitchel then made it 3-1 after 30 minutes and had his hat-trick with two more goals in the second half (58', 90+6') to make it 5-1 at the end.

The result helped Chandel Police FC occupy Pool A pole position on 9 points and eventually confirmed their place in the quarter-finals.
In a Pool D clash staged at Sports Complex Chandel this morning, Cheengkhu YC went atop Pool D with the third victory after beating Chandonpokpi YC by a slender 1-0 margin.
The lone goal that separated the two sides was scored by Angkesh in the 56th minute.
In today's Group B league matches, Morning Star YCC beat Modi CSC 2-1 for first win in three matches while Charangching Khunou YC edged past Wester Soldong FC 3-1 for second win in four matches.
Modi CSC led the first half 1-0 thanks to JS Koningtha's 15th minute strike but the team faltered in the second half with Ramyong (51') and Thadkunghoi (52') scoring two back to back goals for Morning Star YC to overturn the lead.
Meanwhile Rengkham hit a brace (40', 60') to earn Charangching Khunou a 2-1 win over Western Soldong FC whose Adanson scored the consolation goal late in the 86th minute.
In the Group C matches staged at Sports Complex Chandel, Ziontlang SYC and Khorribung FC were able to script comfortable victories.
Ziontlang SYC overwhelmed Phunchung YC by 7-1 goals in a lopsided encounter as R Chungam (14', 18', 52') hit a treble and PV Jaishu slotted home twice (64', 85').MK Kanthanglen (70') and R Lalramthang (80') also found their names in the scoresheet for the winning side as Sr Darthangam scored the lone goal for the losing team after 40 minutes.
In the other match, Rahul (10'), H Saintly (70') and K Borngam (80') scored a goal each to earn Khorribung FC an easy 3-0 win over Heibunglok YCC.
