Imphal, November 16 2010:
Large number of school children with their guardians participated today in the Bridge of Hope sponsored Annual Day Cum Children's Day 2010 Celebration at YPA Community Hall Langol Laimanai in Imphal.
As many as 1500 children and their guardians from various project centers of the Manipur participated in the colourful event.
LS Guite, president AMESCO, Rev.S.Prim Vaiphei president, All Manipur Christian Organisation (AMCO) and Rev.Fr.Japha Aimol Diocesan Secretary Believers Church Manipur graced the function as the chief guest, guest of honour and functional president respectively.
The celebration was marked by spectacular and heart thrilling stage performances of the Bridge of Hope students coming from different locations of the state.
"Bridge of Hope-Manipur is a Child Care and Community Development Project working in the remote and rural areas in Bishnupur,Thoubal, Chandel, Senapati and Churachandpur District of Manipur.
Bridge of Hope is presently catering to the socio-economic, educational and moral needs of over 1900 children belonging to the poorest and marginalized sections of society.Transforming the lives of those children as well as empowering the community through Community Development works and creating awareness on diverse issues among others are the main programs and targets of the organization," according to Programme Co-Ordinator Kaingul Sitlhou.
