Governor of Manipur, Chief Minister, Speaker in-Charge, Ministers, MLAs, MP, Army and AR top brass, Political parties, etc have extended conveyed greetings to the Muslim brethren of Manipur on the occasion of Id-Ul-Zuha which is being celebrated tomorrow.
Governor, Gurbachan Jagat, conveying his heartiest greetings to the people of Manipur, said in a message, "The festival of Id-ul-Zuha reminds us of the supreme and selfless sacrifice made by Ibrahim in accepting God's command/instruction regarding the sacrifice of his son.
It is an occasion to spread the message of peaceful coexistence cutting across the barriers of caste, creed and religion" .
Chief Minister, O Ibobi said in his message, "Id-ul-Zuha reminds us of the supreme sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim for the sake of mankind.
Let this sacrifice inspire us to dedicate ourselves to all causes that are good and noble and work for the betterment of humanity at large.
May the occasion also spread the message of friendship and forgiveness among the people for a more peaceful and prosperous Manipur" .
Conveying his heartiest greetings to the people of Manipur specially the Muslim brethren on behalf of the Manipur Legislative Assembly and also Khundrakpam Assembly Constituency, Deputy Speaker, Th Lokeshwar, who is Speaker in-Charge, said in his message that as Id-ul-Zuha arrives, he prays to Allah, seeing the uncertainties and problems being faced by the people, to make Manipur a peaceful and prosperous state under a stable government.
Minister of RD & PR, Fishery & MOBC, Md Alauddin Khan said in his message, "The Id-ul-Zuha will bring abundant blessings to the mankind.
Let this festival bring peace and harmony and prosperity to all the section of people" .
He prayed that this festival would bestow love, unity and integrity and universal brotherhood in diversity for future betterment of Manipur.
He appealed to all the people to share and join the celebration of the festival of Id-ul-Zuha.
Inner Manipur MP Dr T Meinya has also greeted the people of Manipur, specially the Muslim brethren on the occasion of the holy festival of Id-ul-Zuha tomorrow.
Dr Meinya, said his message that while celebrating the holy festival, may all people of Manipur cultivate sense of sacrifice and may an era of mutual love, understanding and cooperation among the people and peace and prosperity be ushered in Manipur.
MLA of Wangkhem A/C K Meghachandra also greeted the Meitei Muslim brethren of Manipur on the occasion of Id-ul-Zuha tomorrow.
As the Id-ul-Zuha arrives, may all Hindus, Moslems, hills and valley people, and all communities live together with love and peace, K Meghachandra said in his message.
On the other hand, the MLA, along
with members of Wangkhem Block Congress Committee and active workers today went to every Meitei Pangal home and conveyed greetings and also observed "Adha" .
Meanwhile, GOC of 57 Mountain Division, Maj Gen DS Hooda, VSM** has extended warm greetings to the people of Manipur on the happy occasion of Id-ul- Zuha.
"We pray to Allah to shower His blessings on Manipur to bring peace, harmony and prosperity to the State.
Let this Id-ul-Zuha herald a new dawn, bring fresh hope and promise; let it be a time for love and brotherhood.
We pray that Manipur may flourish and be blessed with everlasting peace," the GOC said in his message.
On the other hand, Maj Gen C A Krishnan, IGAR (S) has extended warm greetings and good will to the 'people of Manipur' on the occasion of Id-ul-Zuha.
May this festival herald an era of peace, progress and prosperity in the region, and enhance the spirit of unity, cohesiveness and brotherhood amongst the warm and friendly people of all the communities of the state of Manipur, IGAR (S) added in his message.
Andro Block Congress Committee, Yairipok Top Chingtha, Communist Party of India, Manipur State Council, United Muslims Council, Manipur, etc have extended greetings to the people of Manipur on the occasion of Id-ul-Zuha.
