Imphal, July 15 2010:
Four bronze plaques have been stolen from the Indian Army War Cemetery of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission located at Hatta, Imphal East.
Regional Manager of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, North East India, Salew Pfotte said that unidentified persons stole four bronze plaques engraved on the memorial stones on July 13 .
Earlier, 13 bronze plaques were stolen from the same cemetery on December 30 last year.

In addition to lodging a complaint with the Porompat police station, two chisels and a shirt suspected to have been left behind by the thieves have been handed over to the police, Salew Pfotte said.
