Seven persons including two women were injured while efforting to douse the fire that razed through to two buildings at New Lamka Bazar of Churachandpur district
last night.
Two building were damaged by a fire broke out incident at New Lamka Bazar at about 7.15 pm.
Seven persons including two women who took part in the effort to put the fire under control were injured, reports said today.
They were attained medical treatments at Churachandpur District Hospital.
They were identified as Akar (36), Nemnoi (50), both from Lamka Bazar, Neru (40) of Mata village, Khathing (16) of Headquarter Veng, Songkholun (30), Malshom (32) and Poukholun (18) of Hiyanpam Lamka.
Out of them, Akar and Nemhoi sustained serious injuries and their conditions were stated to be still serious.
In another unrelated incident, a man who consumed pesticide succumbed to poisoning on the way to hospital today.
He was identified as Thangjam Nongyai (50) of Langmeidong Mayai Leikai yesterday.
He consumed the pesticide yesterday at about 1.30 pm, reports said.
