Jiribam, July 15 2010:
The Community Health Centre (CHC), Jiribam has strongly refuted allegations that some CHC doctors are insisting on extra-charges even after OPD tickets are bought by the patients/patient parties.
Reacting to a report published in an Imphal-based vernacular daily, Medical Officer of the CHC Dr AK Das dismissed the allegations as unfounded and baseless.
He also refuted charges that some CHC doctors minting money from the hapless people by plying their trade from their quarters.
Dr Das further maintained that false charges are being made against the CHC and its personnel by some individuals with vested interest with the intention of tarnishing good image of the health centre.
