Imphal, October 02 2023:
PHE Minister Susindro has alleged that the attempt to vandalise and set ablaze his residence at Khurai Sajor Leikai recently was sponsored and instigated by some political parties.
He alleged that innocent womenfolk and locals were misled and instigated by some political parties to storm his residence.
He said legal action may soon be taken against those who sponsored and instigated the people.
Speaking to reporters at his residence, L Susindro said a few days ago, an organisation by the name, Manipur Awang Chingkhei Kanba Apunba Club and Meira Paibi organised an event at the Popular High School ground to pay floral tributes to the two students who have been murdered.
During the event, Meira Paibis of Khurai Assembly Constituency were portrayed negatively.
This was very unfortunate, he said.
"It was alleged that on the day of paying floral tribute to the two students, Khurai Constituency's Meira Paibis were guarding my house," L Susindro said.
Many organisations have been formed in the name of many issues and their leaders have caused confusion to the people.
This is unfortunate, he said.
"Personal issues should be addressed on another platform.
In the midst of the turmoil in the State, people should not be instigated to attack others for personal issues," the Minister said.
"No member of the organisation that is said to be a body of Khundrakpam AC, Lamlai AC and Khurai AC shall instigate people to storm my house to cause more chaos.
If such acts continue, legal actions may be taken up against executive members of the body," he said.
Raising voices of anger in connection with the killing of the two students is alright.
They may do so, but the Government will never tolerate actions instigating people to vandalise properties and houses of citizens, he said.
"If [my] house is vandalised and burnt, then the organisers of the event [paying floral tribute] will be held responsible," he said.
