Medical camps held at various places, humanitarian aid extended

To help the volunteers who are fighting in the frontline to protect the integrity of Manipur, members of Nambol Block Congress Committee today donated their blood at JNIMS Blood Bank, Imphal.
About 120 members of Nambol Block Congress Committee led by former president of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee and ex-Minister Nameirakpam Loken went to JNIMS to donate their blood.
However, due to some inconvenience faced by the Blood Bank of JNIMS, only 50 members donated their blood today.
Speaking to the media, N Loken asserted that the conflict which broke out on May 3 last is not between Meitei and Kuki communities.
"The war is against the armed Chin-Kuki militants coming illegally from Myanmar and its allies trying to achieve their goal of separate administration through violence", he added.
He also expressed concern over the ongoing conflict which has led to irreparable loss of precious lives, left thousands stranded and many injured.
N Loken further shared that, members of Nambol Block Congress Committee will donate their blood phase wise to support the brave heroes who are fighting to defend their motherland.
Yuva Janata Dal (United) Manipur State Unit also organised a blood donation camp at RIMS Blood Bank, Imphal to help the people who have been injured during the ongoing conflict.
About 20 members of the Dal donated their blood during the camp.
Moreover, Kripadashini Advanced Hospital & Research Institute, Palace Compound, Imphal East, in collaboration with the family of Late Gurumayum Manihar Sharma yesterday organised a free medical camp at the relief camp opened in Thanga Wangma High School in Thanga.
Medical care was provided to about 60 inmates staying at the relief camp along with free medicines, said a release issued by the Hospital.
HUMANITARIAN AID
A team of Ramakrishna Mission, Babupara, Imphal, on July 9 visited 4 relief camps set up at Iram Sipahi, Samurou, Pemton Kamakhya & Mekola, and distributed dry ration, toiletries, blankets, bedsheets, stationeries, etc for the inmates of these camps.
Ramakrishna Mission also provided relief materials to the camps opened at Sugnu, Kakching Khunou and Kakching areas on July 6 .
"Since May 10, 2023, we have been relentlessly extending our relief services and have reached out to over 110 Relief Camps across 5 districts, namely, Imphal East, Imphal West, Bishnupur, Thoubal and Kakching", said Ramakrishna Mission in a release.
The Mission has provided relief items worth over Rs 60 Lakhs till date, benefiting more than 16000 affected people.
"The Ramakrishna Mission stands in solidarity with the people of Manipur in these hard times and has been trying its best to reach out to the afflicted & needy for the past 2 months", it added.
As a part of Student Seva Yatra, a team of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Manipur today distributed study materials aiid sports items at the relief camps set up in New Keithelmanbi, Sagolmang, Lower Primary Joypur Khun Moidang Pok and Wangkhei.
The team included ABVP State organisation secretary Bhagawat Singh, Imphal Vibhag organisation secretary Akshay Rajukar, State vice president Dr Aheibam Dinnamani, State joint secretary Rk Yaikhomba Singh and programme incharge L Suresh among others, said ABVP Manipur in a release.
Similarly, in connection with the death anniversary of Late Meinam ongbi Ibeyaima Devi, Meinam Nabachandra Memorial Trust Uripok today provided relief materials at the relief camp opened at Manipur College, Singjamei' .
The relief materials were handed over to the inmates of the relief camp by MAHUD & RDPR Minister Yumnam Khemchand and Manipur State Women Commission former chairperson Prof (Dr) Binota Meinam.
