Imphal, July 10 2023:
The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has accused the Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) of misguiding the innocent Kuki people and supporting the endeavour of the Chin-Kuki narco-terrorists.
In a statement, COCOMI claimed that the resolution they took during the people' convention held on June 7 was to launch a National war against Chin-Kuki narco-terrorists but the same has been misinterpreted by KIM deliberately to lead the innocent Kuki people to death trap so as to fulfil the aspiration of the Chin-Kuki narco-terrorists.
The committee further claimed that apart from KIM, the Indigenous Tribal Leaders' Forum (ITLF) also influenced and instigated the youth of Kuki-Chin-Mizo-Paite-Hmar-Thadou to see Meeteis as their common foe by spreading lies .
Saying that the movement launched by COCOMI is not against every Chin-Kuki people but against the narcoterrorists who dream of building another Golden Triangle in Manipur by demanding separate administration, the COCOMI said that they and the people of Manipur will not withdraw their movement until the narco-terrorists are defeated.
The committee went on to claim that KIM has proven itself to be a funding agency of narco-terrorism as they always speak in favour of narco-terrorists.
The deeds of KIM may project the entire Chin-Kuki and their kindred tribes in the wrong light, COCOMI alleged and added that it would be wise for Kuki Inpi to support the movement against narco-terrorism for the sake of their people.
It also claimed that the violence in Manipur was instigated by narco-terrorists to expand their illicit industries by deliberately waging war against the indigenous Meiteis.
Lately, Mizoram has become a transit route to transport drugs due to the violence in Manipur, the committee claimed and alleged that the aspiration of these narco-terrorists is to expand their drug business in different parts of the country.
The COCOMI also advised the KIM to stop favouring narco-terrorists as their own people may rise up against them in future.
COCOMI also appealed to the Chin-Kuki people to refrain from blindly believing their intellectuals, scholars and leaders who make opinions/comment with inaccurate data, wrong history etc and shared their email [email protected] for verification.
COCOMI expressed suspicion that the woman who was shot dead by unknown miscreants at Kwakeithel Mayai Koibi recently might have been a work of ITLF to demonise the Meiteis and play the victim card as they got the particulars of the deceased even before identification by the police.
COCOMI then reminded of the recent incident at New Checkon where an alleged agent of narco-terrorist was caught setting on fire a house of a Kuki family to play the victim card.
