Imphal, July 10 2023:
The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) main-tained that the Manipu - ri National War against Chin-Kuki Narco- Terrorist' as declared during the Peo-ple's Convention on June 7 was against Chin- Kuki nar-co- terrorists and not against the whole Chin-Kuki com-munity as Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) and Kuki bodies tried to portray.
According to a statement of COCOMI, KIM along with their colleague Chin-Kuki narco-terrorists are unable to consider declaration of June 7 People's Convention in the right perspective but misinterpreting the declara-tion at their fancy and con-venience as is the hallmark of scoundrels.
For example, KIM issued a statement on July 3 alleging COCOMI of declaring war against Kuki civilians thereby attempting to drag Kuki public into the jaw of death.
KIM's state-ment was also endorsed by so called Indigenous Tribal Leaders' Forum (ITLF), a party to Kuki Inpi narco- ter-rorist group, to spew venom among young Kuki- Chin - Mizo-Paite-Hmar-Thadou to portray Meetei community as enemy.
In another state-ment issued on July 9.KIM deleted the word 'Chin Ku-ki' from 'Manipuri National War against Chin-Kuki Nar-co-Terrorist' and made the June 7 public declaration as the mere War against Nar-co-Terrorist' to put COCOMI in the wrong light.
While maintaining that the Public Conven-tion never declared war against the whole Chin-Kuki community as portrayed wrongly by the KIM, the COCOMI said the War' was declared by the people of Manipur against syndicate groups who are using drugs and terrorism to establish a Narco-terrorist terri-tory or another Golden Triangle in the name of separate administration.
As of now, the committee along with the people are taking up steps to ensure success of the ongoing war against Chin-Kuki narco-terrorists but repeated statements made by KIM in support of Chin-Kuki narco-terrorists depicted itself clearly as agency funded by Narco-terrorism, the COCOMI added.
