"Having situated so, we feel the visit of the great leader Rahul Gandhi in Manipur for two days effecting from tomorrow is not conducive at this juncture and we are still compelled to ponder, why now and not before", it added.
Questioning Rahul Gandhi's intention of coming at this juncture, IDM asked why is the political leader coming now when the State has been burning for about two months.
IDM asserted that politicking and taking political advantage at this juncture will bring nothing but further destruction to the people.
"We therefore sincerely appeal to the great leader and all the political parties not to indulge in taking under political advantage of the situation but work for the safety and security of the people which is foremost in this hour of difficulties", it concluded.
