Metal crafts production cum demonstration workshop concludes

The 10 day Metal Crafts Production cum Demonstration Workshop organised by the Tribal Museum and Research Centre, Sagolband in association with Indira GandhiRashtriya manav Sangralaya, Bhopal under the aegis of Ministry of Culture has concluded today at Sagolband, Imphal.
The workshop was participated by 32 artisans from all over the state.
Tribal ornaments, Meetei ornaments, weaponry, musical instrument, Thang-Ta, Long, samuk, khujai, chaisel, bangles, bracelets, utensils and other metal crafts product were displayed during the 10 days event.
Director, Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangralaya KK Mishra graced the closing ceremony as chief guest.
Director, Tribal Museum and Research Centre, Y Gyaneshwar said that the centre had successfully organised a Tribal Totem Crafts Workshop in 2008 in association with the Sangralaya.
The Rhythms of Manipur presented 'Journey' a musical composition along with two other compositions.
It may be mentioned that 'Journey' is a national award winning composition of the group.
Researchers and visitors from different parts of the state came to witness the 10 days event.
