Imphal, September 09 2023: The 139th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Laikhuram Khagendrajit will be celebrated on September 13 at Khagendrajit Research Committee office complex in Wangkhei Keithel Ashangbi.

According to Mutua Tomban, secretary Khagendrajit Research Committee, on the occasion of the 139th birth anniversary celebration of Laikhuram Khagendrajit, tributes will be paid to 8 other freedom fighters namely Kshetrimayum Tomba of Khurai Soibam Leikai, Chongtham Meramacha of Khwai Lamabam Leikai, Hijam Hawaimaton of Yaiskul, Wayenbam Ningthoujao of Singjamei, Mutum Chaoba and Chungkham Yaima of Khwai Lalambung, Hijam Chaoton of Thangmeiband and Pungsumbam Ningthemjao of Wangkhei Lourembam Leikai.

The observation will be graced by Dr Saratchandra Longjomba of DM University, Khagendrajit Research Committee president Dr Mayengbam Kunjabihari and columnist Mongjam Ramananda as presidium members.
