All Manipur Recognized Private School Welfare Association flays monetary demand by different organisations at private schools in Manipur and declared to launched various steps if the monetary demands are not stopped to make education a free zone.
General Secretary, All Manipur Recognized Private School Welfare Association, Khoisanam Japan, while speaking to media at its office at Keisampat Thokchom Leikai said the steps were necessitate to make education as essential service and a free zone.
He said that starting from Bishnupur District, street corners meeting will be held in all the districts commencing from July 21 to August 21, to be followed by mass campaigns and processions.
If monitory demands to private schools by different organisations are not stop by the agitation, they would be compelled to close down their schools by September, he lamented.
He also flayed recent distribution of lap tops to schools by Education Department asking the authority on the manner of selection adopted in selecting the schools for receiving the laptops .
He added that no government recognised schools were included in the list and alleged that the authority had distributed the lap tops to the schools selected out of favouritism.
