TMNL set to host youth summit at Ukhrul

Ukhrul, October 11 2023: The Tangkhul Mayar Ngala Long (TMNL) will be hosting Tangkhul Youth Summit at Ukhrul Headquarters for the first time on November 1, 2023 .

Speaking in connection with the upcoming Tangkhul Youth Summit, TMNL president Themaso Tallanao informed that a separate organising committee has been instituted headed by convener Dr Sword Ronra Shimray to supervise the event.

He further mentioned that the summit will primarily focus on prevailing and pertaining issues on education, religion, social issues and politics under the banner "Understanding our position, Where are we heading?" .

A number of representatives from the Tangkhul community including educationists, religious leaders, politicians and civil society leaders and bureaucrats have been engaged for the smooth conduct of the upcoming event.

Youth representatives from all Tangkhul villages will attend the summit, he added.

TMNL also informed that interested persons and elders can also participate in the summit.
