Nemcha Kipgen provides financial aid to IDPs

Kangpokpi, November 17 2023:
Textiles, Commerce, and Industry and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen launched the distribution of a one-time financial aid to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Kangpokpi Assembly Constituency for the second phase today.
The Minister launched the distribution of a one-time financial aid for the second phase at Mandap Relief Camp in Kangpokpi town in the presence of N Shonkhongam Baite, MCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kangpokpi and other department officials concerned.
She handed over one-time financial aid of Rs 1000 each to all the inmates of the relief camp where 285 IDPs are staying currently.
Speaking at the occasion, Nemcha Kipgen said that as a part of the continuous efforts towards relief and rehabilitation of the IDPs, financial assistance is handed over to the inmates of Mandap relief camp.
It may be noted that the Minister distributed the first one-time financial assistance of the same amount to the inmates at the same relief camp on July 8.She further maintained that the financial assistance was aimed at providing the displaced people some assistance to purchase clothing and personal belongings during this winter season.
She also assured to provide basic needs to the inmates On behalf of the inmates, one of the women conveyed gratitude to the Central Government, the Minister, and the District Administration for their concern and love for them by providing financial assistance for the second time.
