CS assures JAC release of pending DA, vacant posts fill-up

Imphal, November 17 2023:
Representatives of Joint Administrative Council (JAC) of All Manipur Trade Unions' Council (AMTUC) and All Manipur Government Employees' Organisation (AMGEO) met the chief secretary and the joint secretary (finance) on Thursday at the former's office and discussed different issues for the welfare of government employees, workers and pensioners and for improving the economy of the state.
Informing this in a release, JAC of AMTUC & AMGEO stated that the meeting had minute discussion on the 12-point Charter of Demands submitted to the government earlier followed by the government representatives assuring to release the pending dearness allowance and dearness relief for employees and pensioners at the earliest along with the pending retirement benefit and ROP 2019 revised arrears for pensioners.
They also discussed release of retirement benefit and leave salary for work charged employees under engineering department, if it is not subjudice or prejudice, and also to give compassionate appointment for security personnel and VDF personnel who lost their lives in duty since May 3 .
The meeting also discussed filling up of vacant 39,752 posts, it continued, while adding that they arrived at an understanding regarding disbursal of salary and pension on the first day of every month.
