Police get custody of KRA (U) cadres in missing teens' case

The court of Special Judge (NIA) Imphal West on Friday remanded the two cadres of the armed Kuki Revolutionary Army-Unification (KRA-U), who were arrested in connection with the missing case of two teenagers from Akham Awang Leikai, to four days in police custody.
On Friday, accused Lhunkhosei Chongloi alias Mimin (30) s/o Hentinthang Chongloi of C Aisan village, Saikul and Satgohgin Hangsing alias Gogou (28) s/o Ngamjalun Hangsing of Khomunnom village, Litan were produced before the court via video conference with prayer for further police custody remand till November 21 .
The public prosecutor (in-charge) submitted to the court logistics issue in bringing the two accused to Imphal due to the conflict situation.
However, the case IO could go to Senapati for interrogating the accused who are currently in custody of Senapati PS.
As such, the PP (in-charge) made a prayer to the court to further the police remand period of the two accused to allow the IO to examine them in Senapati.
After listening to the submission of the PP (in-charge), the court remanded the two accused in police custody till November 20.It also directed the case IO to produce the medical examination reports of the duo every 48 hours.
