KIMACS observes Thang Ta Day

Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts and Cultural Society (KIMACS) on Wednesday observed Thang Ta Day under the theme, "Thang Ta For Resilience In Time of Strife" at the relief camps opened in Shyamasakhi High School, Moirangkhom and Ringo Club Keibi Keikak Mapal.
A release issued by KIMACS informed that the programme was attended by Relief Camp Committee coconvenor RK Ranju, Thang Ta Observation Committee chairman Irom Ibomcha, Thang Ta Observation Committee vice chairman Leitanthem Dhamendro, KIMACS president Ningthoujam Ajitkumar Mangang, KIMACS advisor Maibam Surjaboro Meetei, Committee member Ngangbam Inaobi, KIMACS former education secretary Malemnganba Takhellambam and displaced people staying in relief camps.
During the event, the gathering observed some minutes of silence to pay respect to the brave souls who gave their lives in the ongoing conflict.
Demonstration of Thang-Ta art forms and a feast with the displaced people at Ringo Club Keibi Heikak Mapal relief camp were the other highlights of the event.
