Minister Nemcha distributes financial aid

Kangpokpi, November 17 2023:
Cooperation minister Nemcha Kipgen launched distribution of second phase one-time financial aid to Internally Displaced Persons (IFPs) under Kangpokpi assembly constituency on Friday.
The minister launched the distribution programme at Mandap relief camp in Kangpokpi town in the presence of Kangpokpi ADC N Shonkhongam Baite and other district officials.
The minister handed over one-time financial aid of Rs 1,000 per head to all 285 IDPs currently staying in the Mandap relief camp.
Nemcha told media persons on the sidelines of the distribution function that the onetime financial assistance of Rs 1,000 per head for inmates of the same relief camp for first phase was disbursed on July 8 and the amount for the second phase is being disbursed.
She said that the financial assistance is being given to inmates for purchasing clothes and personal belongings as winter has arrived in the state.
Apart from motivating IDPs, she assured of ensuring basic needs of the inmates.
On behalf of the inmates, a woman IDP conveyed her sincere gratitude to the Central government, the minister and the district administration for their concern and love by providing financial assistance for the second time.
