Distribution of relief materials continues

Many continue to extend humanitarian aid to the displaced people who are staying at various relief camps across the State in a bid to provide some relief and alleviate their problems caused by the prevailing tense situation.
JIANA Helping Group Porompat has distributed relief materials to the relief camps set up in Ringo Youth Club Keibi Heikakmapal, Taretkhul, UFO HQ North No.5 Uyumpok, Pukhao Laipham and Pukhao Santipur.
The relief materials included essential food items, baby food supplements, medicines, etc.

Authorities of the relief camps have extended their gratitude to JIANA Helping Group for their concern and assistance.
Moreover, Vivekananda Kendra, Manipur Vibhag, Imphal Branch, has conducted relief works in various relief camps set up to provide shelter to people displaced by the ongoing conflict in the State.
In a release issued by M Chandrababu Singh, coordinator of Relief Work, Vivekananda Kendra carried out relief works in the relief camps opened in Old Age Home Kakching, SC/ST Hostel KMC, Lamjap Upper Primary School and Thongjao N Jadumani Farm.
The Kendra provided blankets and books on life & message of Swami Vivekananda were provided to about 364 inmates of the relief camps.
The relief materials were sponsored by the Disaster Relief Cell of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari.
A team of Vivekananda Kendra Karyakartas from Imphal took active part in the relief distribution.
The Kendra also informed that District Administration, relief camp nodal officers and volunteers extended their whole hearted cooperation for smooth completion of the relief work.

Based on the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari has been serving in the fields of yoga, youth, culture, education, natural resources development, vocational and skill training, women upliftment, and informal education programs for the last fifty years.
Kendra has its contributing presence in 27 States including Manipur", said the release.
