Bishnupur, August 21 2023: A distribution drive of special category job cards was held today at seven relief camps in Moirang Assembly Constituency today.

The job cards distribution drive was held in continuation of the welfare initiatives taken up by the State Government for the displaced people who are taking refuge at various relief centres across the State.

A total of 408 job cards were distributed in today's distribution drive jointly organised by Block Development Officer (BDO) Moirang, Moirang Kendra Peace Committee and MLA Office Moirang.

The special category job cards were distributed at relief camps opened at Moirang Lamkhai Khoyol Keithel; Ngangkhalawai; Sunushiphai; Okshongbung Leikai; Konjengbam Leikai; Sindam Shanglen and Ibudhou Thangjing Guest House.

It is worth noting that around 1300 job cards have been distributed to other relief camps earlier.

The organisers also informed that the distribution of supplementary job cards will be held in a phase-wise manner.

Speaking in connection with the distribution drive, Moirang Kendra Peace Committee member Hemam Amuba expressed gratitude to the State Government and Moirang AC MLA Thongam Shanti who have been making sincere efforts for the well-being of inmates of various relief camps in the Constituency.

Moirang AC Personal Assistant Mairembam Uttamkumar who was present at the occasion also informed that measures will be taken up soon for employment generation of the inmates who have received the job cards.
