Speaking at the occasion, Charangpat Maning Leikai Community Hall Meirapaibi leader Ekasini Kharibam appealed to all concerned to resolve the ongoing crisis without compromising the integrity of Manipur.
Ekasini stated that the monetary aid has been extended to Sanathoi to help in the treatment of Sanathoi and she asserted, 'We the mothers will stand up for our heroic sons who have been working sincerely to safeguard the unity and integrity of Manipur' .
She further maintained that Meirapaibis of Charangpat Maning Leikai Community Hall will continue to extend all possible support to all who have been fighting earnestly to protect the unity and integrity of the State.
In view of the prevailing unrest in the State which has affected thousands of innocent lives, Ekasini appealed to the Central and State Government to take up immediate measures to resolve the communal crisis without compromising the State's integrity.
The Meirapaibis also motivated Sanathoi to stay strong and optimistic and lauded his valiant efforts.
It is worth noting that the CCIAN Forum Peace Committee also extended financial aid to Sanathoi yesterday.
Speaking by the sideline of the aid initiative, Angomcha Chingkhei, convenor, CCIAN Forum Peace Committee opined that the State Government should take up concrete steps to end the violence which has raged on for more than 110 days, instead of merely waiting to pay floral tributes to slain martyrs.
Chingkhei also appealed to the public to continue extending aid and any form of assistance to the village volunteers who are currently guarding the peripheral areas.
Further, he urged the State Government to distribute the pending compensation promised to those who have suffered deaths and injuries during the conflict.
Meanwhile, Sanathoi expressed anguish over the failure of the State Government to provide compensation and aid.
However, he extended gratitude towards the doctors at Raj Medicity and everyone who helped him along the way.
