IED recovered near Aibol Joupi

Troops of 31 Assam Rifles arrested 14 Myanmar nationals near the Moreh town close to International Border between Border Pillars number 79 and 80 on Tuesday,a late report reaching here said.
According to PRO Assam Rifles,ten individuals were arrested while attempting to cross over the International Border near Govajang village in the night of April 6 last.
On interrogation it was revealed that there were four more accomplices and two Indian mentors involved in this illegal human trafficking racket,the source said and added that two additional columns were launched in general area Pangal Basti of Moreh town, which resulted in apprehension of six more persons along with 2,25000 Burmese currency.
The arrested persons are Usman Goni son of Md Abu Saiet, Ismail, son of Uspangoni , Md Hazein son of Md Lulamin , Zulaid son of Md Kammal, Naiwan Thia son of Usheten , Than Lei son of Uphoi, Mousa ali son of Gulnon Ahmed, Md Jabuddin son of Dil Mohammed, Hussain Ahmmed son of Nur Mohammed, Abdulla son of Abdul Jalil, Giasuddin son of Isali, Yah Khan son of Kalu, all from Myanmar's Arakan area, Shuraj Ahmeed son of Karbul ali of and Nur Rahman son of Late Najinur Rahman,both from Pangal Basti under Ward No.5 of Moreh town in Manipur).
They were handed over to Moreh Police Station yesterday.
In continuation of its relentless efforts in clearing each and every part of Samtal area in Manipur's Chandel district, the soldiers of 37 Assam Rifles recovered and destroyed one Improvised Explosive Device and one Lathode bomb while clearing an area near the village Aibol Joupi in the Chandel District on tuesday, thus preventing any casualties to the villagers,PRO Assam Rifles said in a release.
The release added the IED was marked with a red cloth and with the big bamboo, it was destroyed at its original location, using explosives.
It was lying on a main track and hence could have caused casualties to the villagers and farmers.
