State tops medal tally with six gold

As the 75th Men's and 19th Women's Eastern India Weightlifting Championships, 2010 organised by the Manipur Weightlifting Association under the sponsorship of Eastern India Weightlifting Association at GM Hall, Imphal entered its second day, hoist Manipur outclassed other participants by winning all the gold medals so far.
So far six events have been held in different weight categories for men and women.
Manipur bagged all the gold medals of the events held.
State won two gold in the first day on Wednesday.
The other four gold medals were won today � two each in men's and women's categories.
Manipur is in the top of the medal tally with six gold, four silver and one bronze.
Meghalaya is in the second place with one silver and one bronze.
Assam is in the third place with one silver.
In today's events, Th Jeneta of Manipur with a total lift of 163 kg (73 in snatch and 90 in clean and jerk) won gold in women's 58 kg category.
Y Chaobi of Manipur and M Sumanbala of Meghalaya with total lifts of 162 and 161 kgs won silver and bronze.
Ng Mema of Manipur with a total lift of 163 (73 in snatch and 90 in clean and jerk) won gold in women's 53 kg category.
Piyainu Chanu of Assam and PC Remlallini of Mizoram with total lifts of 158 and 142 kgs won silver and bronze respectively.
Th Oken of Manipur with a total lift of 234 kg (102 in snatch and 132 in clean and jerk) won gold in men's 62 kg category.
Kh Ananda of Manipur and Rana Samanta of WB with total lifts of 222 and 194 kgs won silver and bronze respectively.
Th Somokanta of Manipur with a total lift of 240 (100 in snatch and 140 in clean and jerk) won gold in men's 69 kg category.
Th Jarshyam of Meghalaya and Th Toni of Manipur with total lifts of 220 and 217 kgs won silver and bronze.
